Message While I do agree that there are a handful of competent DIYers that can tackle such a job, Be advised that not all "shade tree mechanics" can successfully do something like this.

You should find a shop that solders all connections, is comfortable with your vehicle and the task, etc...

In the Dallas area there few reputable independent shops that will do a good job, but these are the guys to go see. Always support your independent car audio establishment. If you get a bad vibe, run away. Make a drive and come see us (Lubbock, Tx.) [ www.stanscarstereo.com ]
